Greg is a highly accomplished NRA Pistol Instructor, an NRA Range Safety Officer and a NM CCW Instructor. He will soon be an NRA Rifle Instructor, an NRA CCW Instructor, a marksmanship coach and is on the path to becoming an NRA Training Counselor. Greg has decades of experience as a successful pistol marksman and competes on a regular basis. Greg is also a competitive Triathlete. He volunteers his time at the High Plains Marksmanship Academy.

Coach Loretta has decades of marksmanship training and coaching experience. She is an NRA Rifle Instructor, an NRA Pistol Instructor, an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer and an NRA CCW Instructor. Coach Loretta is also an NRA/USA Shooting/CMP High Power Rifle Marksmanship Coach, an NRA/USA Shooting/CMP Pistol Coach and an NRA/USA Shooting/CMP Small Bore and Air Rifle Coach! Coach Loretta volunteers her time as an instructor, as a Chief RSO and as a Marksmanship Coach at the High Plains Marksmanship Academy. She also volunteers her time as a NM Hunter Education Instructor. Coach Loretta may be one of the most qualified female firearms instructors and coaches in the Southwestern US!
We might have the only female NM CCW instructor who is also qualified to teach the following NRA classes. We offer female instructed, female only classes for the following courses.

Coach Eric started his competitive shooting career as a junior shooter in the 20th century. He started his NRA Rifle Instructor Career and his NRA Pistol Instructor career in the 20th century. He first became an NRA/USA Shooting/Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Marksmanship Coach in the 20th century. He became an NRA Training Counselor this century. Coach Eric was honored to become a member of the National Coach Development Staff (NCDS) this century.
The National Coach Development Staff (NCDS) is a volunteer network of coaches that hail from all across the United States in all of the shooting sports disciplines. This elite shooting staff is the backbone of the nation's shooting coach programs, teaching and fostering growth at all levels of the sport. Hand-picked by the National Coach Trainer for their ability to teach, coach, and develop the shooting sports, these individuals are carefully selected based on their talents and expertise in sports education and in specific shooting disciplines. The National Coach Trainer uses the NCDS to teach coach schools, conduct shooting clinics and serve as coaches for the National Shooting Teams.
As a member of the NCDS, Coach Eric can train NRA/USA Shooting/CMP Marksmanship Coaches for Small Bore and Air Rifle, for Pistol and for High Power Rifle. He is an NRA Training Counselor (Instructor Trainer) for all NRA Rifle and all NRA Pistol Instructor classes. Coach Eric is a Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO) and can train Range Safety Officers (RSOs) and CRSOs. He is also a CCW/LTC/CWL/CCL Instructor and Instructor Trainer for approximately 25 states.
Coach Eric is a retired disabled combat veteran. He has years of Law Enforcement experience. He is a well accomplished rifle and pistol competitive marksman with several state and regional successes covering a wide variety of rifle competitions, pistol competitions and multi gun competitions, including multiple US Olympic Pistol Marksmanship Team tryout invitations. Coach Eric volunteers his time as the Head Coach of the High Plains Marksmanship Academy, and he volunteers his time as a NM Hunter Education Live Fire Instructor.

In March 2026, Coach Eric and Coach Loretta had the honor of training and certifying twelve members of the Tennessee Rangers! During those two weeks of training, Coach Eric was proud to be made an Honorary member of the Tennessee Rangers!
